Treasure Island Music Festival 2011

Monica dances in front of Bliss by Marco Cochrane

StiltDancers Monica and Matt brought our Capitano and Pirate wench to life at the opening day of the 5th Annual Treasure Island Music Festival 2011 to the delight of festival goers! Adding to the spectacular setting was Marco Cochrane’s sculpture ‘Bliss’ this year, making this beautifully located festival produced by Noise POP and Another Planet Entertainment over the top in terms of art.

Here’s a shot from SF Gate as well!

Linoleum Elixir- A facial for your floor

That’s right!

Finally an elixir for that parched synthetic sheet that keeps the noodles from falling through the floorboards! Think about it. You wash, you wax, and yet it looks hazy and dull. That’s no place for a party!?! Use this before you spend the evening on the floor. You’ll be grateful in the morning.

Are you tired of waking up after a night of blackout drinking and realize that your floor is disgusting? And your face was there for how many hours? At least linoleum doesn’t absorb drool… When your face is on the kitchen floor, you can think to yourself,
“damn this linoleum smells good…”
Anyways, what if you woke up to the fresh scent of Juniper, Redwood, Orange and Lemon oils? Can you believe it? Your floor will be so shiny, you’ll have to peel your hung over self from it by sheer force of will.  Sunglasses recommended for the rest of the day.

May not be suitable for finished hardwood floors due to essential oil content… Absolutely ill advised for internal use, unless you need to wash out your mouth with soap.

16 oz bottle covers at least 666 sq feet six times, or up to 10 uses per bottle in a walkup apartment in NYC $20 + shipping

“Into the Zone” movie release

Templeton Variety started off the 2012 season with a trip to Santa Ana for the premiere of the Cacophany Society movie “Into the Zone” by Jon Alloway.
The beautifully restored Yost Theater provided the setting for the cast of irregulars to reunite and reminiscence over cocktails and a movie before venturing to the Grand Central Arts gallery for a block party including art cars, fresh pizza, and a live stage emceed by Eric Cash.  Orange County was certainly not prepared for the artistic chaos we brought, as evidenced by the letter from the Dept. of Homeland Security request for detailed information once it hit the news!

TOTEM Promo for CdS at Yerba Buena Night, SF

Templeton Variety was on hand for the first Yerba Buena Night, dedicated to arts and community. It was amazing, there were high caliber musicians scattered around Yerba Buena and the nearby areas (there was a video installation on Minna next to SFMOMA, and a band outside the Forum’s loading dock). Texas and I entertained the often confused crowd, wondering “what is this for?” and getting back the answer, “You!”

Oh yeah, and Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM opens near AT&T Park October 28th, 2011 and runs into December.

Cypress Hill at the Fillmore, SF

Velvet Hammer produced a pair of shows for one of San Francisco’s favorite holidays- April 20th… Dr. Greenthumb joins the stage at 6:30. Horrible audience video is all I can find from this show… I guess the audience was, um, distracted.
